Character, description
Put on the market earlier as a substitute for Rio rosewood, this wood has found its place on the very decorative furniture wood market. The lighter and more distinctive the red colouring, the greater the value of the wood. The wood is difficult to process due to its interwoven grain. Careful drying is recommended. Surface treatment can also be difficult because of the oil content of the wood and its discolouring in time. Gluing may be problematic because of the high oil content.
