Character, description
The structure and colour of the American walnut are difficult to distinguish from the European variety. With its straight grain and deep chocolate-brown colouring, this veneer helps to create a noble atmosphere. However, the particles in the wood, the size of a fingernail, known as «birds’ beaks», which can be found in the American walnut, reduce its quality and complicate the supply of woods adapted to high quality veneers.
